ABOUT AMBASSADOR SERGEY IVANOVICH KISLYAK:

Ambassador Sergey Ivanovich Kislyak has been the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the United States since September 2008. Before this he has held the positions of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Belgium and, simultaneously, Permanent Representative of Russia to NATO in Brussels, Belgium; and has been an employee of the Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation since 1977. He is a Graduate of the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute, as well as the Academy of Foreign Trade.
